Today we pray for our Young Adult Ministry.
When a student graduates into the next season there are many obstacles. They experience uncertainty with direction and have new experiences that challenge their faith and spiritual foundation.
Lift up in prayer David and Kim Bass and all the leaders, volunteers and families of Momentum, our ministry to this challenging age group. Ask for wisdom and protection.
May they lead, guide and direct our young adults in the ways of the Lord. Lord, help grow this ministry for your glory!
So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall! No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
1 Corinthians 10:12-13
Today we pray for our Life Group Teams
These teams are on the front lines serving our members. Pray for strength, wisdom, humility, protection and a servant’s heart.Pray for us to expand into more host homes and add more Group Leaders, so that as our church grows, we will have a place to plug members in right away.
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
Today we pray for our Benevolence outreach.
Our benevolence outreach includes our food pantry, helping feed struggling families and the local homeless community. Pray for us to meet and exceed our budget so that this outreach can be fully funded and available as needs arise. Pray for regular gifts of food to the pantry and may we have our hearts and minds open to this or any ministry where God wants us active.
Our I Love This Place gift helps fund outreach dinners for local families in need at Thanksgiving, and helps support our partnerships with local schools, The Sulzbacher Center, and Teen Challenge. Pray also for this important ministry.
‘For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
Today we pray for our first responders & military.
Give thanks for those who often put their lives on the line for others and sacrifice being home with their families to take of our community and nation. Pray for protection over them and their families.
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
Today we pray for teachers.
Pray for our teachers in all settings – public, private, homeschool, etc.
Thank you, God, for the time, heart and effort teachers into educating our children. Give them strength, finances, patience and love to make it through each day. Thank you for supplying all our needs.
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
1 Corinthians 15:58
Today we pray for the broken and weary.
Many are going through challenges right now. You may be one of them. Are you feeling broken and weary?
Take heart, you are being prayed over during these 40 days and now you can pray for others as well. Fear not, our God is with us in all things. Give it to Him.
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Today we pray for those in financial crisis.
Lord, I lift my finances up to You. I know that the answer is that we surrender everything, including our money, to You. Help me to see where my treasure is being stored currently and where it needs to be. I know that it should be in things we store up in heaven, not things here on earth.
When I give back to You what You have already given to me, You take care of everything. Help me to evaluate what I am currently giving and show me what I should be giving. Thank you for meeting all my needs.
And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
Today we pray for those we invite to Argyle and those who visit each week.
May they experience His touch and seek ways they can connect at The Church at Argyle.
We are to be light in this world. Many are searching for an answer and are just waiting for you to ask. Pray for boldness not only in inviting, but in connecting with those who visit with us.
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
Pray for each of us to have a heart for those around us that do not know the Lord.
Lord, we pray for our neighbors and those we encounter every day. Help us to build relationships and look for ways to show them the love of Christ. We all need Jesus. Use me to be a light.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.
How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!’
Today we pray for the missions and outreaches we support.
We support many missions both locally, nationally and internationally through our giving. Some local organizations we support are Faithful & True and Teen Challenge. In addition, we support local schools like Chimney Lakes Elementary and Westside High School.
Lord, help us be faithful in giving of our finances, our hearts and our time. If we were faithful, imagine how much more we could do!
Bless these missions and outreaches and show us what you have for us in this new season in our church. May we be open and ready!
Each person should do as he has decided in his heart — not reluctantly or out of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver.
2 Corinthians 9:7
Today we pray for our Worship Team.
Our singers, musicians, and tech crew are such a blessing – they make our worship gatherings come alive! They serve not only on Sunday morning, but also at Alive for students Sunday evening, and on the Singing Christmas Tree and other special events.
Lord we lift them up to you. May they approach each service with a clean heart and attitudes of humility, worshiping the One true God that deserves all our praise. Guard their hearts and minds as they lead us. Bring more to our Worship Team so that there is opportunity to rotate and allow for rest if needed.
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Today we pray for each of us to evaluate our giving.
Guess what, it is all His anyway! There is so much freedom in giving. There have already been a couple of days we have prayed related to giving, but giving is a key factor in our walk with Him.
Lord, help me to look at everything I have as yours alone. You supply all my needs. You are in control. Show me what you want me to do in my giving.
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also
Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all of your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.
Today we pray for healing from broken relationships and personal failures.
Jesus knows about broken relationships and rejection. He understands where you are. The key is to seek healing in broken relationships and seeing personal failures as a stepping stone to growing you into the person God wants you to be.
He also uses these hard, painful experiences in our lives as a way for us to come alongside others who are going through something similar. Don't miss the opportunity to minister to someone else.
Pray for those who need healing in these areas and who might need to step out and help others in the middle of their pain.
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
1 Peter 5:7
Today we pray for defeating apathy towards the work of God and that we may all return to our first love
We have all been there. We let life and circumstances cloud where we need to be in our walk. Are you there now? Pray through these scriptures.
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is &nd his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Today we pray for our LifeGroups.
We pray for our LifeGroups to multiply, to draw closer to God, to experience life together to its fullest and for them to be ready and willing to take the next step when it’s time to divide and multiply.
They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching, to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer.
