Children's Ministry

Argyle's Children's Ministry Philosophy

We do some things differently at Argyle. Children's Ministry is one of them.
We have many families with kids, so Children's Ministry is important to us.

We don't have traditional Sunday School at Argyle.
Instead, we have special learning environments for kids.

  • For preschool, Amazing Place
  • For K–5th grade, UpStreet

We want to partner with parents and provide tools that equip them to help their kids grow spiritually.

We have simple but specific goals for our Children's Ministry.

In Amazing Place, preschoolers learn –

  • God made me
  • God loves me
  • Jesus wants to be my friend forever

In UpStreet, K-5, they learn –

  • I need to make the wise choice
  • I can trust God no matter what
  • I should treat others the way I want to be treated

Everything we do aligns with these goals.

We partner with Orange because they get it.
We use Orange materials and scripts in all our children's environments.

Amazing Place – Birth to PreK

Amazing Place is the Argyle environment for our preschool kids, ages birth through four.

Not just childcare, Amazing Place uses trained, screened and dedicated workers to help our children begin a life-long journey toward knowing and loving their Heavenly Father.

In Amazing place, our goal is that kids understand three all‑important facts –

  • God made me
  • God loves me
  • Jesus wants to be my friend forever

At Argyle we believe that parents are the most important spiritual leaders for their children, and we want to partner with them to help our kids know and love God. We use the My First Look curriculum which includes parental involvement throughout the week to reinforce what your kids hear on Sunday.

UpStreet – K to 5th Grade

UpStreet is our environment for kids ages Kindergarten through fifth grade. Each month kids concentrate on a life app – Discipline, Service, Honesty, or many others.

UpStreet includes everyone together in God's Garage for a time of praise and worship. The UpStreet Storyteller shares a story built around a Bible verse that will help them understand the life app. Kids also gather in age-graded small groups to spend quality time with small group leaders and do age appropriate activities to reinforce the lesson from the Storyteller.

Is It Safe?

We know how difficult it is to leave your kids with people you don't know. That's why we do everything we can to make our Children's Ministry environments not only fun but safe.

  • Everyone working with our kids is background checked and screened
  • Everyone receives annual training
  • We require everyone to register with our security registration system/li>
  • Kids are checked in and out, and we require security ID badges
  • Security personnel are in and around Kids ministry environments

Can my kids stay with me in worship?

If you insist, but we strongly encourage you to let your child attend their age appropriate, kid-centered learning environment.

  • They will be safe
  • You can enjoy our adult worship environment distraction free
  • Your child will learn Biblical truth in an age appropriate way
  • Your child will enjoy their experience more and want to come back!
Registration

All first time attenders are required to register with our Planning Center Online security system.

After your first visit, you only need to check in and receive your matching security badges.
